|
|
The 10th Natural Products Expo Asia will take place at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre on 23 – 25 August 2012, hosting an exhibition area of 6,000 m2 to encompass the finest natural and organic products sourced from around the world including food & beverage, dietary supplement, natural and raw ingredients, cosmetics and skin care products, spa facilities and supplies, and more. Staged as the region’s most acclaimed trading and sourcing platform the show is further supplemented by a series of high-profile educations, networking events, and stimulating live cooking demonstrations to gather about 10,000 quality industrial professionals to excel in the buzz.
International marketplace for the natural and organic enthusiasts
Apart from the most popular food & beverage and dietary supplement featured sectors, the show presents visitors with an ultimate sourcing ground for the world’s best products – National Pavilions, with an abundant supply of purest skin care and personal care products from Australia and New Zealand, healthy foods, super foods, snacks, and beverages from the U.S., spa utilities and products from Thailand, tea and Traditional Chinese Medicine from China, farm-fresh produce from local farmers, supplements from the U.K., Ayurveda products from India, golden oyster mushroom (Tamogitake), green tea + seaweeds skin cream from Japan, and more.
Asia-Pacific hotel and spa market
Spotlight is shone on Asian markets, with the hotel and spa industry experiencing promising growths, having the largest number of hotels and spas under development of any region worldwide. 77% of 2012 Asian hotel expansion is earmarked for the world’s fastest-growing economies: China and India. 1,248 hotel projects (336,349 rooms) are slated for China, representing 35% of the world’s total hotel projects (and 44% of all rooms under construction globally). India boasts the 2nd-fastest-growing Asian pipeline, with 450-plus projects and nearly 80,000 rooms under construction.
Andrew Jacka, Chairman of the Asia Pacific Spa & Wellness Coalition (APSWC) and President of Thai Spa Association commented, “The Asia Pacific spa market has shown rapid growth in recent years, often exceeding 20% annually, as the middle class expands and society as a whole recognizes the importance of preventative healthcare. We see further steady and sustainable industry growth for the Asia-Pacific spa industry in the foreseeable future."
Asia’s Leading Natural, Organic and Healthy Expo
The Global Nutrition Industry remains an excellent industry in which to invest and launch new products. It is estimated that the global nutrition industry’s consumer sales were USD 310 billion in 2010, accounted for roughly 7% growth. This far exceeds the growth of many other industries in this troubled global economy. The sales of the global nutrition industry have more than doubled in the last 10 years. Among all, natural & organic food sales have grown by almost 3 times to USD 85 billion and China has consistently outperformed the global market since 1995, manifesting the potential of emerging markets in this industry.
An impressive number of exhibitors have reserved their booth for 2012 show, such as Pink Health, Vitromed Healthcare, NSH Formula, Lifeplan Products, OptiBac Probiotics, Bread Power, Premier International, Green at Heart, Earth Friendly Products, Jarrow Formulas, Homart Pharmaceuticals, Nature’s Care Australia, Made in Nature and more.
